Yesterday I attended a portfolio boot camp.
My book was reviewed by three different professional graphic designers.
It was a good experience. I'm not sure I learned anything that I didn't already suspect, but it is good to have an idea of where I stand with people that matter. My images are top notch, but I need to work on typography and integrating the type with the image for a complete design. I need lots more practice.
I'm going to start doing spec graphic design work. College projects are cool, but I need some "real" projects.
I plan to post photos of dulcimers that I have built. Building dulcimers is another good creative release that I can turn to when I need a change. I plan to post some art here as well. This blog will be my brainstorming mixing bowl.
